Prior to joining Lifescape in 2003, Dr. Walsh attended Southwest Missouri State University on a full, academic scholarship. There, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Kappa Phi. She obtained a Doctor of Osteopathy from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois and completed a one-year, Internal Medicine internship at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Following her Internal Medicine internship, Dr. Walsh completed three years of specialty training in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale where she was Chief Resident and nominated for the James-Grobe Award for excellence in Family Medicine.
Since 2018, Dr. Walsh has received five Top Doc honors by Phoenix Magazine – a coveted, peer-nominated title awarded to a select group of medical physicians each year. In 2022, Dr. Walsh was selected by Phoenix Magazine as one of their featured Top Docs in Preventative Medicine where she participated in an exclusive Q&A interview discussing preventative medicine, nutritional deficiencies, gut health and more. Dr. Walsh has a passion for promoting wellness and prevention of disease. This involves her strong focus on the functional medicine aspect of seeking the root underlying cause for illness or system imbalance.
“Heal Thyself” is a paramount philosophy that Dr. Walsh discusses with her patients. She offers a well-rounded approach that often involves testing for nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivity testing, and gut dysbiosis evaluation to elucidate the cause for each patient’s inflammation or disease. Then, replenishing nutrients, eliminating inflammatory foods or agents, and balancing the intestinal microbiome often yields incredible results.
True to the LifeScape philosophy, Dr. Walsh especially enjoys getting to know each patient and their families, and the importance of family, relationships and whole-family care – all of which are paramount in customizing successful wellness and treatment plans.
Dr. Walsh served as Resident Co-Director of the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Association and has written several articles addressing issues in primary care. She is Board certified in Family Medicine, and has a special interest in prevention. Dr. Walsh provides parenting advice on BabyFirstTV. Ranking Arizona lists her as one of the State’s top Family Physicians and Best Doctors ranks her among the top 4% of Family Physicians nationally.

Get to Know Dr. Walsh
Dr. Walsh was born in Joplin, Missouri, and was raised in Springfield, Missouri. She moved to Chicago to attend medical school at Midwestern University. Dr. Walsh has four sons, and enjoys spending time with her family which includes taking her boys to a multitude of sports games and practices.
