Cultivate a Resilient Gut

The foundation of health begins in the gut. Here resides a vast diversity of bacteria and fungi referred to as the microbiome. When in balance we experience healthy weight, positive mood, abundant energy, glowing skin and a strong immune system. When out of balance, undesirable conditions arise such as anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, undesired weight gain, the production of TMAO (a chemical that contributes to reduced artery health and cardiovascular disease), poor blood sugar regulation, and a lack of the feel good neurotransmitter, serotonin.

Tame Inflammation

Inflammation is associated with arthritis, irritable bowel, cancer, chronic fatigue, heart disease, elevated blood pressure, sleep apnea, and diabetes. The fire is fed by diets high in processed foods, damaged fats, sugar/artificial sugar, excess alcohol, and refined carbohydrates.

Cooling inflammation is a multi-step process. “De-flaming” the diet, retooling lifestyle habits around sleep, stress reduction/interruption, and daily movement all play a synergistic role in cooling the body and enhancing vitality.

Small steps lead to real change over time and by addressing inflammation from a whole life perspective these changes become lifelong sustainable habits.

Heal from the Inside Out

When we are out of balance it may be necessary to follow a specialized diet plan for a finite time period to allow for complete healing. Often, identifying and removing food sensitivities can be the first step in the process. This can be accomplished either by using a specialized lab test offered at LifeScape Premier or by following an elimination diet protocol. Food sensitivities are often the first clue pointing to leaky gut and bacterial imbalances. Removing trigger foods and introducing natural healing agents like aloe vera, marshmallow and L-glutamine can help expedite a person back to health.
